Korean and American Makeup Style Differences

Korean and American Makeup Style Differences – Everyone has their own taste, so does one’s makeup style. Makeup is something that must be done by some women who really prioritize appearance. Not only does each person have their own unique makeup, but here are the contrasting differences between Korean and American makeup

1. Foundation
American makeup generally has a foundation with a concentrated formula to have a matte finish. In contrast to foundations from Korea which usually have a liquid formula to produce a glowing facial appearance. Well, American women prefer a matte finish, while Korean women prefer a dewy and glowing makeup look.

2. Contouring
Yup, for this matter I’m in #TeamKorea, because I rarely or almost don’t like to use contouring at all. Unlike American makeup, which contours almost all parts of the face, from the forehead, cheekbones, to the nose. Remember Kim Kardashian, right?

In contrast to Korean women who usually choose the technique of applying blush on the top of the cheekbones. The blush used is also usually peach or pink in color with a liquid texture.

4. Eyebrows

6. Eyelashes
Well, still like me, American women tend to crave the effect of thick and dramatic eyelashes. No wonder, American celebrities like to wear fake eyelashes in layers. In contrast to Korean women who tend to choose natural eyelashes but curly and long.

7. Lips
Similar to differences in foundation technique, American women tend to prefer a matte lip look. Meanwhile, Korean women choose lip makeup with an ombre color, which gives a wet impression.…
